In observance of 2021 as the Year of Filipino Pre-Colonial Ancestors, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and in cooperation with the Bayanihan Dance Company, brings an online Philippine Dance cultural workshop “Move with Malong.”

This workshop will help the participants learn the move with the intricate rhythms and steps of Philippine dances first hand.

This Maranao folk dance showcases the different ways of wearing the Malong - a tubular piece of clothing significant to the lifestyle of Muslims.

The online cultural workshop will be undertaken on September 11, 2021.  The recorded live session will available for viewing at a later stage through the DFA's FB:
