As part of the celebration of the Nutrition Month July 2021, Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney in cooperation with the Philippine Department of Tourism, has brought to the community Lasap Serye - Season 4.

For its last offering for the series, the "Binaki" or steamed corn tamales is featured. Binaki is a known delicacy of Northern Mindanao and was originally a homemade dessert in Bukidnon. It is wrapped in corn husks and is commonly sold as pasalubong and street food in Northern Mindanao and Cebu.

This version of Binaki is courtesy of Chef Dhanette Dizon and the Filipino Food Movement.

The video showing the recipe of Binaki and the beautiful sceneries in the Northern Mindanao area is available on the Sentro Rizal's social media page:

The online initiatives organised by Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney have been appreciated by the Fil-Aus community especially that they have to stay home as required by the  COVID restrictions
