
Award-winning and celebrated Filipina poet and educator, Eunice Andrada is hosting the Australian Poetry Slam Online Heat tonight, September 4 2020, 6.30pm - 9pm, via Zoom under the auspices of Ryde Council. The two top scoring poets of tonight's heat will represent Ryde in the national finals.

The poets have two minutes to perform their original work; no props, no costumes, no music. The judges will be randomly chosen from the online audience. This event is open to all ages.
The Australian Poetry Slam is run by Word Travels. Word Travels is supported by the NSW Government through Create NSW.
About Eunice Andrada
Eunice Andrada's debut poetry collection "Flood Damages" won the 2018 Anne Elder Award and was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Literary Award for Poetry and the Dame Mary Gilmore Award.
From 2015, she has performed her poetry in many events and diverse local and international stages, including the UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, Sydney Opera House, Parliament House of New South Wales, Museum of Contemporary Art, the Blanco Renaissance Museum in Indonesia, Richesse des langues Festival, Montreal, Canada and Puente de Britanico Bridge in Iloilo, Philippines, to name a few.
