Jay Santos, ABS-CBN TFC Country Manager, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands shared with The Australian Filipina the official statement by the Head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications, Kane Errol Choa.
Mr Santos said: Personally, I am very grateful and hopeful for this positive development. We thank Congress for moving to have ABS-CBN back on air soon and look forward to actively participating in the congressional process to have our franchise renewed.
The six-month provisional franchise obtained through House Bill 6732, as amended, allows ABS-CBN to resume operations while Congress deliberates on bills seeking to grant the television network another 25-year franchise.
