Her Son, Jose Rizal
When: 7pm, 17-20 June, 2010, (matinee performance on 20 June)
Where: Tom Mann Theatre, 136-140 Chalmers St, Surry Hills

Every month, Australian Filipina will give you an update on a new Sydney play called Her Son, Jose Rizal.

The play’s director Armando Reyes told us that playing Rizal is none other than RJ Rosales, Filo-Aussie singer better known for his brilliant stage performances as Thuy and The Engineer in the musical production of Miss Saigon. He scooped a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the Helpmann Awards (the Australian equivalent of The Tony Awards in Broadway). Congratulations, RJ!

Also featuring is Ala Paredes, illustrator/artist/painter/actor/model/ rocker extraordinaire, playing Soledad Rizal (Disclosure: Ala has been helping Australian Filipina since day one so we are a bit biased).

Tickets are on sale for $40 ($60 for matinee). For bookings, call Ticketek at 132 849 or log on at www.ticketek.com.au
