For the month of March, 2021 the Philippine Consulate General Sydney and Sentro Rizal Sydney join in the National Celebration of Women's Month spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women.  The theme of the celebration is as shown above:  Juana Laban Sa Pandemya:  Kaya.  


Every Friday at 6pm, messages from women's groups in Sydney are livestreamed on the Consulate's and Sentro Rizal's FB pages.  The videos are also available on the pages for later viewing.

For March 12,  the Illawarra Filipino & Multicultural Women’s Group, Inc. (IFMWG Inc.) shares its message.

IFMWG Inc. is a non-profit group that afford women an opportunity to advance their crusade for equality as well as contribute to community development and the upliftment of the quality of living for others.  It consists of different ethnic minority groups such as Thai, Maltese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Sri Lanka, Portuguese, Spanish, Chilean, Pacific Islands, Dutch, Afghanistan, Togo (Africa) and Australians.          

In September 1985, a new Illawarra Filipino Women’s group was formed in order to cater the social well-being and educational needs of Filipino women and their families with the assistance of then Illawarra Migrant Resource Centre (IMRC) now known as the Illawarra Multicultural Service (IMS).
