Nutricraft Cookware co-founder Judith Viado is receiving awards for tapping into the needs of a health-conscious audience.

Before the pandemic set in early 2020, Judith’s schedule was filled with face-to-face cooking demonstrations, including a much-coveted spot at a food festival on the Sydney Showground.

But with COVID-19 forcing her business to re-schedule in-person events, Viado quickly pivoted her business to have a much bigger online presence.

While it’s early days, her business model has been recognised in the past.

In 2019, Nutricraft was a finalist at the 2019 Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence and finalist at the 2019 ausmumpreneur awards in the Big Idea (New Business) category. She was also shortlisted for the Australian Small Business Champion Award, finalist at the Hills District Small Business Awards and 2019 Winner – Inspiring Business Growth from the Alpha International Marketing and Management Agency.

In the Stevie Awards, which recognises innovative products globally, Nutricraft has bagged two bronze awards and one gold.

Among her numerous awards were: coming first place at the 2020 Altitude Awards (Women with Altitude) in the online business category, another Stevie for Startup of the Year (Consumer Products), third place winner at the 2020 Women-Owned Business Pitch Competition (Women Future Conference also via the Stevie Awards) and finalist in the 2020 Roar! Best Home / Lifestyle Product by the Australian Professional Business and Service Industry Awards.

Viado has definitely thrown her hat in the ring and showcasing Philippine innovation in Australia.

But asked what her plans are for 2022 and beyond, she said that she wants to teach more Filipino entrepreneurs how to enhance their social media presence and digital marketing skills.

“When I first started, it was very hard to find information and, thankfully, I was able to get some support from government agencies that help small businesses. I now want to pass that knowledge on to my fellow kababayans or anyone who wants to start a small business because I can direct them to the resources and funding they probably don’t know are available,” she said.

Not surprisingly, the trained coach and business consultant was named one of 500 global influential leaders in the world according to Brainz Magazine (Mel Robbins and Jessica Alba are also on the list).

With multiple awards under her belt, 2022 looks to be another year of accomplishments and new milestones for this homegrown Pinay entrepreneur!
