At today's media conference, (September 17, 2021), NSW Premier Gladys Berjeklian announced that NSW is firming up arrangements for 7 day home based quarantine for fully vaccinated inbound travellers. 

The initiative is welcomed by many as it means the fee of $3000 per person for hotel quarantine would no longer be a financial burden in addition to the cost of fares.

This follows the lifting of curfew for local government areas of concern, and allowing some concessions for fully vaccinated individuals.

Howover, it was announced that two more local government areas in regional NSW will go into a snap lockdown at 6pm today.

The first is Glen Innes, north-west of Coffs Harbour, after some confusion yesterday for residents who were told they were getting locked down, and then weren't.

The second is the Hilltops LGA in the NSW South-West Slopes after someone linked to the Young High School tested positive.
