Musical theatre performer and stage actor Marcus Rivera is set to take the stage with a brand-new comedy-and-cabaret show, “I don’t want to do this f#ck&n show,” as part of this year’s Sydney Fringe Festival.

While Rivera is no stranger to the stage, having earned accolades for his powerful singing and acting, this show marks his first foray into the world of comedy. Inspired by late-night talk show hosts like Stephen Colbert, James Corden and Graham Norton, Marcus aims to provide an entertaining and insightful look into his knockbacks and struggles as an actor and performer in Australia.

“Coming from a Filipino background, there were limited opportunities for me to get a leading role. It’s like I’m fighting for my life every time I go to an audition,” he said.

"I don’t want to do this f#ck&n show” is a heartwarming and candid exploration of Marcus’s life adventures. From waiting tables and doing network marketing to launching a business start-up, Marcus has done it all while waiting to land ‘the big role’.

This unique cabaret show combines Marcus’s rich musical talents with his newfound comedic voice, creating a 100% entertaining experience that’s part comedy, part confessional.
