The much awaited virtual concert which aims to raise funds to help kababayans in their fight against the pandemic is all set to go this weekend, Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4. The concert was postponed from the original date in deference to the demise of former President Benigno S Aquino III and to coincide with the celebration of the Philippine Australian Friendship Day.
The raised funds will be coursed through the beneficiary organisations of the event: Caritas Philippines, PGH Medical, PHILRADS, Tuloy Foundation and ABS-CBN Foundation.
The artists who are donating their talent to help the cause are: May May Entrata, Moira de la Torre, Pilita Corrales, Jose Mari Chan, David Pomeranz, Ian Veneracion, Bamboo, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, Lea Salonga, APL.DE.AP. and Manny Pacquiao. The emcees of the concert are Robi Domingo and Anthony Barion.
The virtual concert was organised by the Filipino American Voice United which was joined in by a number of organisations worldwide in undertaking this initiative. FAVU is headed by Chairwoman is Nimfa Gamez and President Jerry Perez de Tagle. The concert is under the production team of Cory Quirino.
The concert is free to watch but viewers are enjoined to make donation towards the fundraising for beneficiaries initiatives in fighting the pandemic. The concert, free tickets and donation facility can be accessed through :
Isang Tinig Isang Lahi Support Group Australia is headed by FAVU Chairman Australia Marilie Bomediano, Josie Musa (Adhika) and Violi Calvert (Radio Tagumpay), and supported by Filipino Press Group of Sydney convenor Jaime Kelly Pimentel.
