After the many lockdowns last year brought about by the pandemic and followed by the holiday period, the Filipino Sports, Arts and Recreational Club (FILSPARC) has recently held an online event to have its elected officers inducted.
Blacktown City Councillor Carol Israel conducted the online induction at 9pm on February 6, 2022.
FILSPARC President Sheila Cantero Raptis shared:
“This is still 2021-2022 Officers. Induction was so delayed due to lockdowns, concerns of virus and the availability of officers. Plus, we always wanted a face-to-face event for this. The officers such as Beth Lofthouse and Rado Gatchalian, are not elected; they are Volunteer Officers to ones who changed and resigned from their roles. We accepted two resignations due to work and family related issues.
“Here are the changes: Jnr VP Makisig Morales, taken over by Jojo Sebastian; Cultural Director Marideth Laquian replaced by Rado Gatchalian; Art Director Jojo Sebastian replaced by Beth Lofthouse.”
The officers who were inducted are as follows:
PRESIDENT Sheila Raptis
SNR. VICE PRESIDENT Pedro Marasigan
JNR. VICE PRESIDENT Jojo Sebastian
SECRETARY Joyce Caballero
TREASURER Elizabeth Amper
INTERNAL AUDITOR Emmanuel Tolentino
PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER Criz Guce
PUBLIC OFFICER Romeo Domingo
MEDIA & COMMS. OFFICER Vincent Aquino
SPORTS DIRECTOR Herminio San Jose
ART DIRECTOR Beth Lofthouse
CULTURAL DIRECTOR Rado Gatchalian
RECREATIONAL/EVENTS DIRECTOR Imelda Serra
