Adhika, which is a network of community media, associates and friends, and Kababaihang Rizalista Inc Sydney Chapter will be jointly undertaking an event to celebrate the International Women's Day 2025.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day/Month (IWD) with a global theme: For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment”, we call on every community group to do what they can to truly make a positive change for women. IWD provides an important factor to showcase commitment to women's equality, launch new initiatives and action, celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness, hear their voices and highlight gender equality.
International Women’s celebration by Adhika and KRI is on 15 March 2025 (Saturday), 4PM Forum (on Livestream) at Dooleys Catholic Club (Regents Park), 67 Terrence Street, Regents Park 2143 NSW, followed immediately by Gala Dinner and Recognition of Inspiring Ladies/Young Ambassadors.
In previous years, we have four Fil-Aussie women as responders for our Sulatan book project, which was launched in June 2022. Resource speakers, together with the 2025 IWD nominees and former IWD Adhika Inspiring women/girls awardees, will be invited to a roundtable discussion about women and their real life experiences.
ADHIKA and KRI honour the achievements of Filipino-Australian women across all sectors
Women who demonstrate generosity/charity, courage, creativity, determination, steadfastness, leadership, love, care, and other attributes that enrich our community. Plaque/Certificates of Appreciation will be presented by Adhika and KRI Inc during the event.
