The Philippine Community Council of New South Wales has appointed its officers for 2016.

Appointed as president was Kate Roc Andres who returns to the helm for a fifth term. The induction was held at the Philippine Consulate in Sydney with Rod Dingle hosting the proceedings.

The new officers are:

President - Kate Roc Andres
Vice President External - Alric Bulseco

Vice President Internal - Lillian de los Reyes
Secretary - Darrell Swadling


Treasurer - Joy Robinson
PRO - Penny Perfecto
Internal Auditor - Ethel Singzon

Directors:  Sarah-Anne Johnstone, Mercy Jones, Albert Prias, Demi Robinson, Emily Rudd, Nerissa Revesz, Rowena Turnbull, Immediate Past President - Evelyn Beed, Public Officer - Serna Ladia.

Commenting on her appointment, Andres said: "Our mission is to reach out and harness collaboration for a more cohesive and progressive Filipino Community in NSW."

"We hope to recapture the spirit of cooperation and harmony and call on the community to be diverse in functions but together in our common goals," she added.
