Filipino-Australians based in Brisbane, Perth and Darwin can now fly to Manila through additional routes introduced by flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) this month.

Manila-Darwin, Manila-Brisbane and Manila-Perth are three of the six new destinations unveiled by PAL early this month.

PAL president Ramon S. Ang said the new routes are in response to the demand for more flights from these three Australian cities.

The other three additional routes are Manila-Kuala Lumpur (from May 1), Manila-Guangzhou (from June 1) and Manila-Abu Dhabi (from October 1).

Tickets for Kuala Lumpur and the new Australian routes are now on sale, while tickets for Guangzhou and Abu Dhabi will be sold starting March 15.

Last year, the airline group announced plans to modernise its fleet and improve its inflight services, including a menu from top Filipino chefs and high-end entertainment features on board.

Manila-Darwin (PR 221), departs Manila every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:05PM and arrives Darwin at 4:00AM (next day); Manila-Brisbane (via Darwin) follows the same departure schedule but arrives in Brisbane at 9:20AM (next day). Manila-Perth (PR 219 via Darwin) leaves Manila every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at 10:25PM and arrives in Perth at 7:50AM (next day).

Following the changes, PAL now flies to 34 international destinations.

Special promo rates are available for early birds.
