It was another successful gathering of friends, family and guests at the annual APCO, Inc. Freedom Day Ball held this year at the Grand Ballroom of Bankstown Sports Club.

This is the third year APCO has organised an annual ball and everyone got dressed in stunning Filipiniana, enjoyed fine dining and danced the night away.

The venue theme was 'fiesta', with a bamboo pergola welcoming guests as they entered the ballroom.

Adding glamour, Philippine-style, to the occasion were spectacular production numbers conceived and directed by this year's artistic director Mars Cavestany, who also co-hosted the program and co-performed in a couple of performances.

From the operatic prowess of Linda Natividad to the rousing song-and-dance performances of artists, including Brian Lorenz and Marcus Rivera, many of the guests sat in awe at the production numbers prepared for them.

Following the main program, guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal with the musical entertainment provided by Maynilad Band. Local chanteuse Tina Ranoso-Bangel charming everyone with her melodious voice.

There was a fundraising too, with a silent auction of plane tickets to Manila and raffle prizes drawn after dinner.

All in all, this year's Freedom Day Ball was a memorable night, boasting a record attendance of more than 480 guests.
